This short film marks my first experience fully directing and producing a film on my own. Motivated by a desire to revisit and capture the beauty of my hometown, Zhengzhou, before leaving it, I aimed to share the unique charm of this city with the world.

Production Idea & Process
Zhengzhou, Henan, located in the heart of China, is a city where ancient history meets modern development. My goal was to showcase this blend by capturing local life, cuisine, historical landmarks, wildlife, and urban scenes.
The Challenging Part
Crafting the script and vision for the video was challenging. I researched extensively, reading history books and consulting locals to accurately cover the city. The final flow highlights Zhengzhou’s wildlife, ancient civilization, and modern developments, blending its historical and contemporary aspects.
Outcome
Through my lens, I explored the essence of Zhengzhou, highlighting its rich history alongside its contemporary growth. The film features significant spots like Songshan Shaolin Temple, local culinary delights, and the cultural and developmental pulse of the city.
