Inspiration

This piece was again created for the game Splatoon series, specifically inspired by the Splatoon 2 DLC – Octo Expansion. The DLC featured a captivating story and provided a lot of fun gameplay. I was especially impressed by its art style, from the characters and objects to the environments. The color tone, along with the blend of Vaporwave and City Pop aesthetics, really resonated with me. As a tribute to this vibe, I chose to illustrate one of the most iconic subway scenes in the game, showcasing my admiration for its unique aesthetic.
